Dental Assistant & Sterilization Support openings (Albuquerque - Westside)

A growing westside ABQ dental office is searching for Dental Assistants and Sterilization Support positions. Our office is employing new barrier and airflow techniques to reduce risk related to Covid-19 for the safety of all. Details on the positions are below.

DENTAL ASSISTANT:

The dental assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the dentist in the direct provision of dental services to patients of the practice. Pay rate is based on experience level. This is an at-will employment position.

Dental Assistant position qualifications:

Prior DA experience strongly preferred, but will consider recent graduates from Dental Assisting programs.

Active DANB certification required (or in-process and completed within 6 months if hired)

CPR Certified

Must be available to work 3+ days per week (Mon-Fri now, Saturdays in future)

Bilingual (Spanish) strongly desired

General familiarity with Dental Management Software in a near paperless office

Professional and motivated

Positive attitude

Team oriented

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, doctor and team members.

Aware of Sterilization, Preparation practices for common procedures.

Able and willing to learn

STERILIZATION SUPPORT:

The Sterilization Support position is primarily responsible for sterilization tasks in rooms between patients (room teardown and turnover), cleaning and packaging instruments for the autoclave, and organizing instruments when sterilization is complete. Pay rate is based on experience level. This is at-will employment position.

Sterilization Support position qualifications:

Prior Dental/Medical Office Experience strongly desired

CPR Certified

Must be available to work 3+ days per week (Mon-Fri now, possibly Saturdays in future)

Bilingual (Spanish) strongly desired

Professional and motivated

Team oriented

Aware of Sterilization practices

Able and willing to learn
