This is a fulltime IT Business Analyst role. Hybrid work schedule is available.

Remote may be an option if experienced with Symitar

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for working with functional areas on the development of business requirements in support of new technology solutions or changes to existing processes or systems.

The IT Business Analyst also works with business and technical teams to identify, resolve & document solutions to application or system issues. If applicable, the IT Business Analyst may be involved in system configuration, programming specifications & report development as required.

Essential Functions

Work with functional areas to define and document business requirements in sufficient detail to facilitate request fulfillment, system changes, enhancements, and the adoption of new technology solutions or platforms. This may be accomplished through customer interviews, research and evaluation of business processes, systems, customer needs, and desired organizational outcomes;

Act as support liaison between the IT department, vendors, and functional areas. Responsible for facilitating communications, coordinating system changes and enhancements, and providing production support to IT application teams as needed which may include identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues. Develops system and end-user documentation to support IT operations and maintenance activities;

Plan, coordinate and execute functional, integration, and/or end-user acceptance testing to ensure systems meet business requirements;

Participate in the maintenance of PowerOn programming in the Episys core system. This may include documenting specifications for creating, modifying, and enhancing batch and on-demand programs, reports, and file maintenance routines;

Participate in and complete special projects or initiatives as directed by the VP of IT or Manager of IT Applications;

The successful IT Business Analyst will have:

Bachelor's degree in related technical or business area or 4 years directly related experience.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technical business analyst in the financial services industry, preferably w/ CU experience;

Experience utilizing Symitar Episys in a technical capacity preferred;

Significant experience in a CU functional business role utilizing Symitar Episys or other CU key systems may be considered in lieu of direct technical business analyst experience;

Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies; knowledge of relational database management systems; knowledge of database reporting technologies and structured query language.
