We currently have an exciting 11+ month, long term contract opportunity as an External Manufacturing Materials Lead for a top fortune 500 company in the Titusville NJ area.Title: External Manufacturing Materials LeadDuration: 11+ monthsLocation: Titusville NJ (will work remotely during COVID restrictions; can be in NJ/PA area)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:External Manufacturing Materials Lead supports materials supply into external manufacturing sites and interfaces with internal and external business partners and suppliers to improve customer fulfillment, drive reliability, proactively mitigate risk and enhance supplier performance and responsiveness.

The EMM Lead leverages processes, systems, reporting capabilities and communication to improve the efficiency of material supply services, using technology and monitoring performance to achieve targeted outcomes and goals.

The EMM Lead implements key initiatives and projects with internal business partners, category teams, material suppliers and external manufacturers to drive end to end value across total cost, agility, reliability, and citizenship.

Responsible for incoming material supply as a point of contact (POC) for the assigned external manufacturing sites.

Implementing procurement programs and projects that align with Category and Network strategy to deliver end to end value and drive competitive advantage.

Owning the identification and operational resolution of emerging supply issues across the network, tracking progress, sharing visibility, and escalating as appropriate. Leading and coordinating with key functional partners to drive resolution on material supply challenges.

Driving and supporting improvements in material reliability, customer fulfillment, supplier delivery performance, and responsiveness.

Identifying problematic suppliers and working jointly with external manufacturing sites and Category teams to improve performance.

Qualifications:Other related professional certifications (e.g., APICS, ISM, Process Excellence/Six Sigma) are desirable

Must demonstrate the ability to work with cross-functional teams, leadership skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be Customer oriented.

Strong analytical skills and data analysis.

Demonstrated project management skills and experience.

Negotiating and pre-negotiation planning experience is preferred.

An understanding of manufacturing operations and plants is preferred.

Experience with MRP systems, such as SAP, is preferred.

Insight into End-to-End supply chain characteristics and understanding of financial processes is preferred.

Education / Experience:A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, a focused degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Technical or related is preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of related experience in Strategic Sourcing/Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or similar operations.
