Job Description

  • Reliably guarantee the delivery of millions of messages per day

  • Scale our systems to meet ever increasing demand

  • Design APIs and the underlying data models used by many apps and microservices

  • Partner with product teams at Square that integrate with our platform to guide integration plans & troubleshoot bugs as needed

  • Leverage data and ML models to optimize delivery

  • Work with designers and product managers to build intuitive and useful tools for our customers

  • Mentor other developers on the team

  • Contribute to the broader tech and open source communities

  • Work with cloud solutions like AWS and Google Cloud Platform

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, and an excellent command of engineering fundamentals

  • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages

  • A passion to build beautiful, intuitive products

  • Empathy for your customers and colleagues

  • Strong communication skills
