eCommerce Operations (Remote) Consultant

for Tool Mfg & Distribution Org.

Are you looking for a dynamic eCommerce Operations consulting role with a premier multi-company organization that has a strong culture of teamwork and success? Our client is looking for an individual with eCommerce expertise to help channel various portals (Walmart, Amazon, eBay etc.) to their respective Tool Products in order to grow sales and market presence. This consultant will helptake their organization’s Tool Products and expand the core product categories to a global offering so that these products can ship from the client’s own distribution centers or from their authorized warehouse and manufacturer partners. This position can be worked remote or on-site. This highly successful company already has a small portal foothold in the eCommerce channel, but will be able to start out of the gate running with this vital organizational priority. This position will encompass leadership of all core eCommerce initiatives with the objective of growing sales as well as team members as eCommerce revenues increase. Located in the Newark/Elizabeth, NJ area, our client has over 50 years of successful growth and has an excellent reputation in each of their respective key product areas. eCommerce Operations Consultant Responsibilities & Qualifications

Main Responsibilities:
  • Architecturally orchestrate and manage through the client’s current ERP system’s multiple platforms of “On-Line” name brands and channel the data to logically get orders processed for quick shipments.
  • Objectively review current operations and outline a new business plan to establish the client products in the ecommerce channel.
  • Help build an Information Technology team to include fraud security, sales, service, operations and other pertinent support roles to aid in increasing the various brands.
  • Oversee and coordinate with cross-operations, purchasing and marketing to build stock levels and new product offerings outside of the core inventory.
  • Negotiate relationships with new vendors to expand products, categories and offers.
  • Introduce new information technology to enable the sales team, finance team, customers, and supply chain partners to receive real time intelligence.
  • Monitor and resolve day to day incidental issues by analyzing performance using a variety of data sources, with the ability to deliver insights and action plans for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years or more of experience within the eCommerce community, particularly working with or for online retailers in a mature management role with work experience with multiple companies.
  • Experience channeling of the various portals (Walmart, Amazon, eBay etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and an understanding of formulas and logic code and programming.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage a team of experienced and motivated individuals.
  • Ability to multi-task, think analytically, and work independently with high attention to detail and organizational skills.
