SummaryLooking for a results-driven Senior Google Cloud Platform Cloud Security Engineer to help improve and maintain our security posture. You will be integral in driving various cloud security initiatives that enable security to be baked into all facets of the organization. Due to the highly confidential and sensitive nature of the healthcare industry, the role requires someone who is passionate about and well experienced in Google Cloud Platform DevSecOps, monitoring & detection, incidence response, and overall best practices related to information security/risk management. An avid problem solver, with an accomplished background in secure software engineering, able to foster and grow a culture/system of security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(List in

Develop and enhance security policies and standards, based on sound cloud application security architecture practices.
Manage and develop cloud security patterns and controls in collaboration with Information Security and Engineering teams.
Manage threat and vulnerability protection, identity and access management, data, and network protection of cloud applications.
Develop and implement security testing and reporting protocols for threats and vulnerabilities.
Define security metrics and set up automated security alert features, identifying features offered by cloud service providers or to be developed internally.
Participate in and support application security reviews and threat modeling, including code review and dynamic testing.
Support and consult with product and development teams in the area of cloud security.
Assist in the development of automated security testing to validate that secure coding best practices are being used.
Provide feedback to Application Portfolio Managers and Architects to help refine service design and security standards.
Coordinate with developers, cloud platform engineers, the business, and Cloud Service Provider on architecture design requirements for cloud application services

QualificationsBachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience

Required Experience:

Minimum 6 years of relevant application experience in the DevSecOps environment, utilizing Google Cloud Platform services, solutions, and provisioning/automating Google Cloud Platform application services and tools.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Cloud using Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
Self-starter with in-depth hands-on work experience with multiple large-scale implementations of Google Cloud Platform
Knowledge of and experience migrating, refactoring, and re-engineering complex enterprise applications from legacy platforms to cloud
Strong understanding and experience with common security libraries, security controls, and common security flaws.
Knowledge of and experience designing and managing Cloud controls
Broad IT security experience and API security knowledge
Excellent and professional communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to articulate complex topics in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge and usage of the Google Cloud Platform platform is essential
Experience designing and implementing secure and scalable Cloud application architecture (Google Cloud Platform specific)
Knowledge of and experience in designing and using application patterns to drive cloud migration
Experience in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems leveraging cloud computing technologies
Knowledge of cloud architecture standards and framework in alignment with enterprise architecture standards
Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements.

Computer Skills Required:

Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
