Title:Graduate Assistant Office of Specialized ServicesPosition Number:204135Position Type:Graduate AssistantDepartment:Specialized ServicesPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work:This is a 10-month Grant Funded Graduate Assistant position that is part-time (28 hours per week), requires enrollment in a related graduate program. It is expected that the graduate assistant will be on campus at minimum three days per week, but five days is preferred. Maintenance of student records in accordance with College and grant requirements.Duties/Responsibilities:Coordinate proctored accommodated testing between OSS, Testing Center, students and professors.Meets with faculty and students as needed for assistance, training, and facilitation of accommodated testing.Proctor exams as needed.Assist in TRIO Peer Tutoring and Peer Academic Coaching programs primarily by providing record keeping support and assistance in training.With the assistance from Peer facilitators, lead the OSS Collision student groupParticipates in meetings and college events related to job responsibilitiesPrepares reports, studies and public relations material for the review, information and assistance of the Assistant DirectorPrepares and conduct assessment activities associated with the officePerform other duties as assigned.Education/Experience:EducationGraduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree and enrollment in a related graduate program are required.Preferred majors: Education, Psychology or related field.ExperienceExperience working with individuals with disabilities.ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESAdept in use of computer software with the ability to master the use of the Office management system, OSSOnline (AIM), quickly.Strong written and oral communication skills.Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.Use of office systems and softwareEEO STATEMENT:Ramapo College is an Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
