Principal Software Engineer

Business Unit Description Enterprise DevSecOps (DSO) enables delivery of IT service capabilities enabling improved client experience. The DSO Enablement team emphasizes the timely delivery of infrastructure utilizing automation in alignment with agile practices to build environments. Position Summary

• The focus of this role is to realize business and technical requirements through the application of Software Implementation Lifecycle tasks.
• This is a role with 85+% of work time focus on application development including, but not limited to, design, code, documentation, test and supporting activities. The work will demonstrate a mix of front-end, back-end, middleware, transactional and database skills and experience.
• You will work closely with Development and Infrastructure teams to define, program, test and deliver DevSecOps and middleware software solutions on a combination of traditional and Cloud (AWS/Azure) Platforms using Agile methodologies.
• You will engage in direct application development activities (programming: design, code, test) supporting agile teams toward the rapid adoption of DevSecOps practices and toolsets.
• You will operate as a vital component of an Agile Squad. As a senior squad member, you will collaborate with Development, Architecture and Infrastructure to implement technical designs. You will be engaged as an authority.
• You will possess and maintain deep knowledge and experience with DevSecOps, cloud computing infrastructure, application development platforms, tools and techniques. You will engage teams with compelling solutions, ideas, designs, presentations, and discussions.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
• Deep experience as a front or back end developer
• Experience with the following tools or methodologies required:
• Java, JavaScript, Groovy, Maven
• RDBMS with any of the following: Oracle, Postgres Aurora & RDS, Angular 4.0+
• Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, JUNIT, JaCoCo or Cobertura, SonarQube, REST, JSON, SWAGGER, APIs, WebSphere
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux and Container Administration
• Familiarity with AWS technologies, AWS Solutions Associate certification preferred
• Experience with DevSecOps Methodologies, Hands-on experience in IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
