- Understanding of the AML landscape, risks and red flags across lines of business and products
- Experience in AML model validation projects
- Participate in the development and tuning of models using data mining and R/ SAS/SQL queries in support of process optimization, solving and testing for various solutions;
- Write effective documentation of model development and tuning to meet standards set by the model governance group;
- Analyze current systems and processes to identify potential improvements or enhancements;
- Stay current with AML topologies and regulatory changes, methodologies, statistical and analytical techniques and trends related to model management and development.
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative background (analytics, statistics), computer science and/or MBA in finance related fields
- Strong knowledge of financial products and processes required to facilitate financial products lifecycle.
- 2 or more years of modeling experience that may be a combination of work experience and/or project work during education.
- Preferred experience working with statistical/analytical modeling platforms (SAS, SQL, R, Python, etc.) and building statistical/analytical models.
- Strong data manipulation skills, ability to extract from databases and analyze data sets. Preferred hands-on experience with advanced data sets, pivot tables, and statistical functions and methods.
- Strong ability to identify potential concerns, analyze and solve problems; ability to work effectively and independently to resolve such issues.
- Excellent PC software skills including all Microsoft Office Products.
- Hands-on experience with the functionality and capabilities with at least one AML system, such as Actimize, FCCM, Fircosoft, Prime, etc. and can demonstrate strong knowledge of the scenarios/logic/algorithms within the system
