Our customer, a leading distributor of specialty building materials in the United States, is seeking IT Implementation Field Service Technicians for a 9-12-month consulting opportunities with their Hammonton, NJ office. Founded in 2009 with 16 locations in three states, our customer operates more than 250 locations across the country. This resource will be traveling on the East Coast, as well as around the country to help set up and integrate our acquired facilities equipment with our own. This role involves moderate travel, work from home, and occasional on-site in Hammonton, NJ.
Position Review: The IT Implementation Field Service Technician will be responsible for the completion of operational tasks to implement changes at operating companies, aligning their IT infrastructure and systems with that of our customer. This position will work directly with local, regional, and corporate resources to align with our customer’s processes and strategies. Responsible for resolving implementation and post-implementation project issues. DTD RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Develop and maintain an advanced understanding of our customer’s use of technology 2. Possess experience with PC deployments. Networking and hardware support experience is a must3. Apply expert technical skills and knowledge in the support troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, and software across our customer4. Work with IT associates and business partners to identify opportunities and adjust IT services accordingly5. Assist with implementation of new ERP through expertise in various technical areas6. Perform PC and Peripheral refresh at remote locations7. Assist in the coordination and execution IP and Domain conversions8. Maintain advanced working technology knowledge 9. Assist IT management and senior IT technical staff in developing departmental service guidelines and operating procedures10. Maintain consistent and professional customer service and communication with end users and IT associates. 11. Provide timely status as needed to end users and fellow IT associates when working to resolve an incident12. Must be a with the knowledge and experience to "get things done”13. Participate in special projects or stretch assignments as required; execute projects to improve systems and operations14. Provide technical assistance, guidance, and leadership to analysts and IT associates 15. Work with vendors to develop quotes, gain approvals, and facilitate ordering of equipment, software, solutions, and consulting services given documented needs, policies, and best practices.16. Collaborate with colleagues to identify and remediate issues17. Develop work processes and best practices and implement changes to streamline operations. 18. Other duties as assigned by ManagementREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 1. Required education - Degree in IT Management, Computer Science, other related field, or equivalent experiencea. Any degree is preferred, but not required.2. Required experience – Min. 5 years of desktop implementation support3. WIN OS | PC Rollouts | Printers | Basic Networking (Routers, Switches, Wiring) | 4. Roles will require up to 90% travel, where feasible5. Works independently with little day to day supervision6. Ability to support simultaneous efforts, in a multifaceted, fast-paced, nationwide organization experiencing rapid growth7. Ability to work across time zones and geographies8. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, including written and oral communications9. Occasional weekend work if projects or assignments necessitate activity when workers are out of the office10. May have to work off-hours if there are critical problems requiring IT intervention11.
