Director of IT (ERP)

6 months Contract to hire

Location: South River, NJResponsibilitiesProvides strategic and technical leadership for a portfolio of retail and wholesale enabling ERP systemsResponsible for enabling company growth through effective management and deployment of technologies including Retail and Wholesale ERP, EDI and PLM capabilitiesMaintains strong relationships with business stakeholders and actively collaborates across all levels of the organizationWorks with business and technology teams to understand needs and translate into IT deliveryLeads defining and organizing IT initiatives and assists with guiding decisions on initiative prioritization, resource allocation and issue resolutionDrives technology discussions and facilitates decision making with cross functional teamsManages the full lifecycle of software and project implementations ensuring that business deliverables are consistently met and that solutions provided meet high quality standardsOperates and maintains solutions ensuring high performance, availability and reliabilityLeads continuous improvement exercises to drive effectiveness and efficiency in IT deliveryActively manages team members by conducting one on ones and “hands on” leadershipInsure data consistency, master data, integration integrity across core merchandising, wholesale, EDI and PLM systemsOversees performance, stability, security, processes, configuration, and interfaces of AS400 based ERP Systems Participate in projects to implement, test and design the various ERP components and applicationsThis is a “hands on” working IT leadership role. QualificationsMust have 5-10 years of experience managing an ERP application, preferably including AS400, Unix and Windows platformsMust be highly organized, and have strong communication skills.BS required; 10+ years of progressively responsible IT experience in a Retail and Wholesale environments, inclusive of 3+ years in IT applications management position. A businessperson’s perspective and the ability to manage issues rather than tasks Experience with ERP package implementation and optimization projects, ongoing application modernization, enhancements, and support.Understanding of the businesses processes related to Retail ERP systems and the communication between multiple systemsDemonstrated professionalism, courtesy, and tact to others; and display high standards of ethical conductThank youSteve Dilary
