Medical Biller

This is an office-based position. This is not a remote position.

In the role of Medical Biller, your responsibilities will include:

- Billing support, including workup of denials and underpayments, claim appeals, filing for foundation payment, invoicing patients, and all other components of a quality medical billing process.

- Insurance qualification protocols, including coordinating, obtaining and verifying any necessary prior authorizations, pre-certifications and referrals.

- Keep and maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all patient information, including personal information, treatment information, and financial information, in accord with the standards of all federal, state and local laws.

- Answer phones, scanning, assist administrative staff with patient scheduling and other such duties as needed.

- Maintain the office in a clean and orderly condition, properly stocked, and in a condition suitable to provide the services in an appealing environment.

- Attend and participate in meetings and/or conferences as requested by management.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

- Experience working as a medical biller in a medical practice environment required.

- Associate's degree or higher required.

- Strong knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10, modifiers, EOBs and medical terminology.

- Solid computer, math, language and telephone skills.

- Graduation from a medical billing course with 2 years of experience required. (Course graduation can be replaced with an additional 2 years of experience, for a total of 4 years minimum.)

- Ability to build rapport with referring providers’ offices.

- Experience in billing infused therapies preferred.

Note: Medical Insurance benefit will be eligible as of January 2022.
