Experienced bussers, servers (Branchburg, NJ)

We are looking to hire experienced servers and bussers to join our team. Must have full restaurant experience.

Server Responsibilities:

Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.

Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.

Engage with customers in a friendly manner.

Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.

Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

Collect payments from tables.

Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.

Help food preparation staff when necessary.

Server Requirements:

Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff.

Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.

Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.

High school diploma.

Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.

As a busser you will assist the servers and bartenders: Responsibilities for Busser are as follows:

-Clear tables of dishware and napkins after meals, and return them to the kitchen

-Prepare coffee, tea, and ice water for customers on an as needed basis based on server availability

-Keep floors and chairs near dining tables clean by sweeping and mopping

-Maintain appropriate stock levels of glassware, silverware, and dishware

-Clean, sanitize, and reset tables after meals

-Assist servers with food delivery

-Keep designated service stations clean and well stocked

Qualifications for Busser

-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

-Restaurant experience preferred

-Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

-Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

-Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
