Job Description

We are looking for a results-oriented, self-starting Product Marketer who will work at the intersection of product development and marketing. You will be focused on new product go-to-market strategy, product activation, and maximizing the lifetime value of our buyers and sellers at all stages of the funnel.

Etsy prides itself on a product delivery culture defined by deep user research, continuous discovery, rapid prototyping, and frequent product delivery. In this role, you'll be a key partner in this process, helping product teams articulate customer value and plan effective product delivery and launch while also advocating on behalf of marketing to ensure that product road maps support marketing strategies. You’ll operate in a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Brand, Content, Analytics, Research, and Marketing to improve the buyer and seller experience through holistic and targeted marketing design to drive conversion, engagement, and retention.

This is a full-time position located eventually in Brooklyn, New York,, reporting to the Director, Product Marketing. We offer flexible workplace policies that can accommodate work from home candidates who are comfortable traveling to an office location 2+ times per week.

  • Partner with product, marketing and brand teams to determine what, where and how, and to whom we market key features and product launches, taking into account user needs and business objectives across Etsy’s core global markets.

  • Articulate the user journey, uncover user insights, and identify key user needs to focus product roadmaps on the largest business opportunities.

  • Serve as a key collaborator between the Product and Marketing organizations.

  • Define the target audience, craft clear positioning statements and clearly articulate and communicate Etsy’s unique value proposition for buyers and sellers.

  • Develop the go-to-market strategy for product releases and be able to execute on those plans

  • Develop and align on-site and off-site marketing plans in collaboration with channel owners and the broader marketing team.

  • Set clear, measurable product marketing goals and track progress against them.

  • Lead analysis of product marketing tactics and their impact to the business and make recommendations that continually improve the efficacy of go-to-market plans.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of marketing, brand, product marketing, and/or consulting experience.

  • Combine analytical marketing skills with deep critical thinking

  • Strong command of data and ability to use data to inform strategies and tell a strong narrative

  • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams while maintaining great relationships

  • Strong understanding of customer experience, data, and product

  • Creative with a passion for solving the toughest problems in a way that are mutually useful for the Etsy buyers and sellers and Etsy as a company

  • Experience simplifying concepts through impactful marketing messaging

  • Track record of driving growth and results through marketing strategies and campaigns

  • Thrive in an independent, high energy environment where tasks, priorities, and projects change rapidly.

  • Passionate about Etsy’s mission and are brimming with ideas on how we could do it better.

  • Love collaborating across teams and functions and have a knack for explaining complex challenges in an organized, clear manner.

  • Love market research! You know your market, customers, and competition better than anyone, and you’re strong at integrating this information into your growth strategies
