Job Summary:

Responsible for the delivery of HRBP support for one or more large sub-groups of the DSI Enterprise by providing a very high level of consultancy to key leaders and leadership teams with a focus on Workforce Planning, Talent Management, Change Management and OD. Manages the highest level of client complexity and challenges. Manages direct reports and delegates tasks appropriately; teaches and mentors others within HR by acting as a role model and expert in all facets of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for HRBP support for one or more sub-groups of the DSI enterprise by providing a high level of consultancy to key leaders and leadership teams with a focus on Workforce Planning, Talent Management and OD. Will execute the following functions:

  • Understands and is clearly able to articulate the financial and scientific elements of the Daiichi Sankyo business strategy.

  • Understands and uses analytics to identify the business needs and priorities and the associated talent trends, challenges and opportunities

  • Provides direct feedback and input to the rest of HR on business specific priorities to inform the development of HR’s processes and programs

  • Effectively implements the Daiichi Sankyo people strategy

  • In partnership with senior leaders accountable for building a diverse talent pipeline for critical roles

  • Provides expert advice and support for organization design and change management to senior business leaders

  • Identifies, analyzes issues and opportunities which are outside of established policies and procedures and engages stakeholders to gain alignment and endorsement of solutions

  • Builds the Daiichi Sankyo workforce plan to increase the skills, engagement and productivity of the workforce to meet current and future business needs
  • Supports the Executive Director – HRPB to establish standard practices, tools and methods that HRBPs use in providing consultation for senior business leaders

  • Ensures a consistent approach to all talent processes (performance management, talent management, learning & development, succession planning) is applied across designated business areas
  • Ensures all transactional questions are directed to the Solution Delivery team

  • Actively seeks to ensure alignment of the HR People Strategy and Business Strategy.

  • Will provide guidance and strategic coordination of People Strategy matters with business clients and HR colleagues outside the US
  • Supports complex partnerships and collaborations

  • Routinely interfaces with all DSI HR COEs to optimize delivery of services

  • Identifies, defines and analyzes course (s) of action outside of established procedures and policies and engages stakeholders to gain alignment and endorsement
  • Leads complex projects

  • Able to operate and influence globally as part of key global leadership teams

  • Regarded externally as a thought leader in HR, usually with accountability as part of an HR professional association

  • Manages complex and challenging stakeholders

  • Provides thought leadership and direction to peers and all HR colleagues

  • Is aware of best practices and seeks opportunities to apply

  • Shares best practices and success stories externally (e.g. speaker engagements, conferences, etc.

  • Manages direct reports and delegates tasks appropriately; teaches and mentors others within HR by acting as a role model and expert in all facets of Human Resources.

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred

  • 12+ years experience either in a business partner type role elsewhere or consulting

  • 5+ years experience in pharma and/or bio-tech industries

  • Broad HR knowledge

  • Experience working in a matrixed operating environment
