General Description/Job Summary:-The EU Informatics Service Manager is responsible for all Informatics Service Operation, Support and Delivery outcomes globally and is tasked with ensuring that Informatics Services provide optimum business value with minimum service disruption, optimized operational cost/performance and maximized customer satisfaction.The EU Informatics Service Manager is a senior member of a technology management team with focus on Daiichi Sankyo’s R&D employees and consultants, who reside in Europe, and who report directly or indirectly to managers within DSI, and across all global informatics service domains including Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement.

Full Ecosystem Informatics Service Management including function, agreements, process and controls and ensuring ongoing appropriateness, value and quality of Informatics Services10%E4.

Informatics Service Stakeholder Relationship Management – continuous and proactive management of all service stakeholder relationships20%E5.

Informatics Service provider full lifecycle management including:
  • support of provider selection, engagement, implementation and transition
  • accountability for ongoing financial, performance, and change management including reporting and continuous improvement

Informatics Service offering development including management of service catalog10%E7.As a member of the DSI Informatics Services Team; work with Global IT, DSI and DSE IT colleagues and vendors to provide

VIP Support and customer service to R&D users across Europe10%E

Work Experience Requirements:-
  • Approximately Ten years of relevant and diverse technology services and operations, life sciences, informatics or other major industry experience is required
  • Experience managing global technology teams and operational budgets
  • Experience in the structure, development, migration and management of cloud based IT services is required
  • Experience in the support of Global Research & Development systems and users, including a working knowledge of R&D business processes is preferred
  • Experience in global business and supplier relationship management is required
  • Experience building and supporting global, enterprise grade technology services including development and structuring of third party service agreements is required
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and service providers under a Service Integration and Management (SIAM) model is preferred
  • Experience with Service Management, BI, LMS, Document Management and Regulatory tools, providers, services and systems is preferred
  • Proven ability to work in a global and highly matrixed environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with and understanding of key industry best practices as well as legislative, regulatory and industry artifacts/frameworks such as the following is preferred:
    • DIA, ITSM/ITIL, NIST, ISO, SANS, COBIT, CERT
    • 21 CRF § 11: Electronic Records, Electronic Signatures
    • 21 CFR § 312.32: IND Safety Reports.
    • FDA Guidance for Clinical Investigators, Sponsors, and IRBs – Adverse Event Reporting to IRBs – Improving Human Subject Protection (January 2009)
    • FDA Guidance for Industry and Investigators - Safety-Reporting Requirements for INDs and BA/BE Studies (December 2012)

Education Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Life Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline or equivalent work experience is required. Master’s Degree in Life Science or Engineering or Information systems is preferred.
