Maintain communication with upper management as to work status. Observe standard operating procedures for consistent quality standards. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Meet / exceed customer expectations Maintain a productive and safe environment for employees Participate in training as appropriate to continuously upgrade skills Perform employee training in warehouse as necessary Communicate to supervisors and managers daily activities and needs Contribute to the goal of current and accurate inventory control Maintain legible and accurate records or logs as required Monitor performance of employees within the warehouse work group Manage workload planning for dock area Open and/or close building as directed on any shift Monitor and communicate methods of operations and safety Report unsafe conditions to the Safety Manager if they cannot be self-correctedEducation & Experience High School Diploma or GED, Associates preferred Minimum one (1) year of lead/supervisory experience Must be able to use small hand tools Must be able understand and use basic math skills - adding subtracting, multiplying, and dividing Must be able to understand and utilize proper and safe operating procedures Must possess intermediate Computer SkillsCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsTravel RequirementsDiversity CommitmentAt Freeman, our commitment to diversity and inclusion is helping us to create not only a great place to work, but also an environment where our employees, our customers and our communities around the world can reach their goals and connect with each other.
