Job Description
Job Summary: The Master Data Management Analyst is responsible for design, implementation and support of MDM process and tools. This position will collaborate with business partners to translate business requirements into technical specifications and to develop logical business processes and solution design.Essential Functions:Serve as the main technical point of contact for customer, product, employee, and location master data
Manage and drive responsibilities related to master data activities in consultation with business partners
Participate in the MDM tool evaluation
Work to streamline data from Monro’s source systems to perform data sync processes
Develop, update and maintain procedures, tools, and metrics for the master data management processes
Create and maintain governing policies around master data; monitor and ensure that Monro’s master data business rules, policies and procedures are adhered to
Perform user acceptance testing on defect resolution and enhancements
Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
Align data management processes in Monro’s value chains and process areas
Support improvement projects from data perspective; support special projects as needed
Automate activities where possible
Mentor and develop direct reports and collaborators embedded in business teams such as embedded functional MDM specialist, information architects, and data stewards
Work closely with business leaders to elicit business objectives and provide best solutions utilizing strong team collaboration across Business / IT / 3rd Party Partners
Perform other duties as assigned
The Master Data Management Analyst is an individual contributor to the team and operates under the direction of the Director, Data Management & Analytics
Qualifications
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 3 years Master Data Management experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred
Knowledge & Skills:Possess a thorough understanding of solution design/implementation which include:
Master Data Management
MDM Tool implementation
Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, programming
ETL Development/Architecture
Software development in .NET, SQL Server & Java
AWS
Working knowledge of AS400 is a plus
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical/data science packages for analyzing datasets
Adept at queries, visualization and presenting findings
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment and change focus quickly to meet established deadlines
Ability to take initiative in problem solving and recommend technological best practices
Proven experience integrating with multiple disparate technologies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and fax machines. Position requires prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
