THE OPPORTUNITY There currently exists a unique opportunity for a passionate and motivated leader to join our team in the role of Manager, Technical Services. In this highly visible role, you will have oversight of the department's technical operations and the lifecycle of its infrastructure in our four facilities. This role is based in Portsmouth, NH with required periodic travel to Montreal, Marlborough, MA and Newport, VT. A valid passport is needed.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING You will drive and oversee interactions between technical staff and others within the department (namely the IT business application group), throughout Galvion, and vendors of hardware, software, and related services. You will work closely with other team members to achieve the unit's goal of providing Galvion with effective systems and technology. You will share the responsibility for day-to-day management of the unit with the Director to ensure flawless response to the continuous influx of service request and IT asset tracking. YOU WILL BE EVALUATED ON YOUR ABILITY TO
Provide the level of services requested by the Business Units, liaise with external support providers, and provide corporate oversight on technical matters and provide technical leadership and detailed guidance where necessary.
Install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, operating systems, mastering compliance to cyber security regulations and the technical component of business applications.
Support and manage Windows workstations, servers, and networks, Active Directory, and Office 365 environments, performing regular upgrades.
Comply with various Cyber Security requirements (i.e., NIST, CMMC, etc.)
Manage the Galvion Help Desk ticketing process and Microsoft SCCM deployments.
Create, update, and maintain technical documentation and be the first point of contact for networks and Windows system administration.
Implement, monitor, and maintain IPS, IDS, MDM CMDB, SIEM, DLP solutions (VMware infrastructure; VEEAM backup solution; and VoIP telephony solutions
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent Technical Diploma in Networking and Telecommunications and significant and meaningful Network Administration experience.
Prior experience leading, managing and coaching a small team.
Be cognizant of and adhere to guidelines to deliver tasks and meet assigned deadlines.
Frequent use and knowledge of industry standards and experience in a regulated industry (NIST 800.171, CMMC, ITAR and EAR with Canada / UK, Canada CCG, UK CE+) is ideal.
Ability to clearly define procedures and methods to apply and sustain solutions.
Skill and passion to work with others to transfer field expert knowledge and methods.
