Junior Test Engineer (Manual/Automation)

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Analyst join our team. The ideal candidate will have both a manual and automated QA test background. The role will work with the QA manager, other QA testers, developers, designers, business analysts and product owners to deliver products and value on a continual basis.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and maintain automated test scripts across all mobile and OTT platforms

• Prepare Reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of the test scripts.

• Maintain all existing Test Automation suites when applications are changed

• Contribute to the sign-off of releases, including being a gatekeeper for product quality and user experience

• Responsible for end-to-end systems testing

• Coordinate testing documentation as required

• Work closely with product managers to define efficient test plans

• Highlight and escalate potential blockers or showstopper issues to QA Manager

• Other duties as reasonably required

Qualifications

• Computer Science degree or equivalent
• Mobile application testing including iOS & Android
• Experience with testing OTT, VOD, BVOD or SVOD Applications.
• Experience with creating and maintaining test automation frameworks
• Responsive website testing across browsers and devices
• Knowledge and understanding of issues around delivering video online (streaming formats, ad integration, analytics, etc)
• Strong understanding of responsive web technologies
• Experience using CMS technologies
• Experience working in an agile environment such as Scrum or Kanban
• Work under limited supervision in a dynamic, fast paced Agile environment
• Enquiring mind with the ability to research, question and think outside the box
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff
• Passionate about learning new technologies and frameworks
• Displays a commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work
• Proactive approach to problem solving and troubleshooting

• Experience with Automation frameworks for BVOD services
• Familiarity with NodeJS, Javascript, HTML, CSS and scripting languages
