Legal Counsel (part-time 3 days)

This is a newly created role, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, based on a part-time (3 day per week) basis in North Sydney. The role exists to provide sound legal counsel and guidance to the company on commercial issues, governance, regulatory matters, corporate strategies, product initiatives and operating activities. You'll be working closely with Product teams to document loan contracts and advise on legal liabilities associated with different deals, intellectual property and claims. This includes the review of vendor contracts, commercial agreements incorporated partnership agreements, NDA's, regulation & compliance. Where appropriate, you'll also advise on large debt recovery matters. You'll be responsible for establishing Corporate Governance/Company Secretariat processes appropriate for the Company. This position will also manage the provision of external legal service and advice.
