Job Description:
You will be part of the CAPE - Enterprise Database Operations Team. The Enterprise Database Operations team is a global organization with presence in Westlake, TX, Durham, NC, Merrimack, NH, Bangalore India, and Chennai, India. This Team is responsible for providing System DBA and Cloud support for Databases like DB2 , PostgreSQL, Sql server and Cockroach DB across Fidelity.Responsibilities- Requires in depth knowledge on supporting and troubleshooting Databases like DB2, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB.
- Build, configure, and support Database Cloud Infrastructure in AWS using industry standard deployment tools.
- Should have a proven understanding on AWS cloud services like EC2, S3, CFT, EBS, IAM, AWS CLI.
- Experience in configuring and supporting of the monitoring and alerting tools like DataDog, AWS CloudWatch for proactive detection.
- Work with customers in capturing technical requirements for data migration needs.
- Strong experience in production support, capacity management and maintenance of high availability & disaster recovery database systems for the large-scale databases.
- Working knowledge on scripting (e.g., shell scripts, python, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge about Incident management, Change management and Problem management processes
- Should be open to working in shifts, on call and weekend change management tasks
- Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas, Investigate and resolve user raised Incidents, Problem management and service requests.
- Writes clear, concise, well organized technical documentation to maintain standards and procedures.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills
- Establishing strong, reciprocal relationships with business and technology partners across Fidelity
- Strong knowledge of Agile practices
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, while providing leadership and abstract thinking.
- Experience collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in fast paced, highly demanding environment.
- Bachelor or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology or Equivalent.
- 10+ years of IT database experience with progressive growth to technical lead.
- AWS certification is preferred.
