Description

This Desktop Support Technician role with Robert Half requires a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users. To thrive in this position, you will need to be a self-starter, with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working in an innovative environment. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a permanent opportunity based in the Manchester, New Hampshire, area.

Your responsibilities

- Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

- Administer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

- Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

- Fix computer problems, and recommend appropriate action/solutions

- Keep up, explore, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

- Match hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

- Create records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

Requirements

- Knowledgeable when it comes to writing reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals

- Strong familiarity with VMware

- Expertise in Microsoft Office 365

- General familiarity with Firewall

- Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience highly desired

- Foundational knowledge in SIEM Tools

- Adeptness in VPNs (virtual private networks)

- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server OS

- Demonstrated knowledge of Hyper-V

- 2+ years of desktop support or other related experience
