Overview

The RiverWoods Group is currently looking for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager!

Under minimal supervision, the IT Infrastructure Project Manager (IPM) will manage multiple technology projects by collecting and analyzing requirements, recommending software, or hardware solutions, and recommending system controls, processes and protocols.

Responsibilities include the planning, tracking and executing approved projects.

The IT IPM functions as a conduit between business operations staff and vendors and the IT organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Infrastructure Project Portfolio for TRWG.
  • In close cooperation with business stakeholders, recommend business system solutions by developing and analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
  • Work with appropriate vendors to source software and/or hardware solutions based on business requirements gathered, and ensure proposed solutions meet the needs of the business community.
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements
  • Effectively manage and execute all phases of a project: discovery, scope definition, requirements definition, solution selection, implementation.
  • Develop and maintain project plans.
  • Develop Request for Proposals (RFP) for external services/solutions if required.
  • Establish project status reports for Management's review and approval.
  • Effectively negotiate agreement on project schedules and budgets with business owners, subcontractors and vendors in a timely manner.
  • Manage subcontractors, when used, to effectively complete their contractual obligations.
  • Improve systems and processes by studying current practices; designing modifications.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or related field
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred.
  • Three years of relevant analytical and project experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Ability to handle and deal with stressful situations.
