Director, Strategy and Collaboration

You’ll play a vital role in activating meaningful collaboration across our diverse government clients in areas including public health, energy and environment, global development, national security, and more.The Director, Strategy and Collaboration will design and lead collaborative interactions and workshops that help ICF Next project teams and our diverse clients across the Federal Government solve complex challenges and boost efficiencies; develop organizational, communications and/or brand strategies; and transform engagement with key stakeholders.For this role you need to live in the Washington DC Metro area. The role is home-based with time in our Reston VA headquarters office as needed.As Director, Strategy and Collaboration you will:

Engage with ICF Next staff and clients through meetings and/or in-depth interviews and conduct research to refine the goal, objectives, and structure of collaborative workshops

Develop and facilitate customized workshops using remote, in-person, or hybrid collaboration tools

Capture and synthesize workshop findings into recommendations reports

Use project management tools to manage client intake, coordinate stakeholders, and develop and manage facilitation projects

Work with the practice lead to build and scale a proactive facilitation practice for ICF staff and clients

Produce templates, guides, and tools that enable ICF staff to integrate collaborative and agile approaches into their daily work and team culture

Expand facilitation offerings across ICF and to our clients.

Basic Qualifications:

15+ years of professional experience in consulting, strategy, and communications, advertising, and/or marketing

5+ years of virtual and/or in-person group facilitation experience

5+ years of project management experience

5+ years of using digital whiteboarding tools such as Mural

Bachelor’s degree in strategy, marketing, advertising, or communications or related topic.

Professional Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communications, coaching, and stakeholder management skills; outstanding listening skills and empathy

Strong group facilitation skills (remote and/or in-person), and ability to hold a room with confidence

Strong project management and organizational skills, with a track record of driving projects through to completion
