Our work covers the full spectrum of topics related to AI, including deriving knowledge from data: theory, algorithms, applications, software infrastructure and hardware infrastructure. We actively engage with the community through publications, open source software, participation in technical conferences and workshops, and collaborations with academia.We are looking for a Program Manager to initiate, develop, manage and scale Meta partnerships with academic and industry research organizations in North America as a way to advance fundamental AI research. Partnerships may include collaborations with academic and industry leaders, student engagement programs, lab sponsorship, or academic-industry consortium memberships. The person in this role will cultivate relationships, increase knowledge sharing, and facilitate meaningful external collaborations and partnerships. In this role, you will craft a strategic vision for project-specific and org-wide programs, as well as manage and scale existing programs to support the growing org.The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, comfortable navigating ambiguous situations, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting resources and removing barriers. This role requires project and program management experience and an understanding of the AI ecosystem, research, academic and industry landscape. Communication skills, stakeholder management, experience managing complex logistics, and an organized approach are mandatory.Required Skills: Define and manage strategic initiatives that support the goals of the AI org

Proactively identify and partner with internal and external stakeholders on programs and projects

Proactively manage expectations: define clear program roadmaps, provide frequent program updates, identify and communicate risks and adjustments, and ensure commitments are delivered

Manage relationships with cross-functional partners, such as Design, Legal, and Policy

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree

6+ years experience as a program or project manager, or similar role

6+ years of experience establishing and growing end-to-end, cross-functional programs

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with academic, industry and public sector partners

Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations

Experience communicating with data to drive change

Track record of operating independently and taking initiative, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner

Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and keen experience to identify problems and proactively work towards solutions
