Position at Clear Capital The Senior Program Manager, Valuation Policy role is part of a growing Valuation Policy team within Clear Capital, where our opportunity to collaborate, partner, create and influence is just the beginning of what makes our work so meaningful. Under the leadership and direction of the VP, Valuation Policy, this position will provide research and analysis to assist in guiding company valuation policy and strategy. You will use your strong knowledge of the valuation industry and the factors impacting it, including primary and secondary market functions and policies each and every day. Through participation in broad outreach activities, this role will have an opportunity to influence and make a positive difference in the industry far beyond Clear Capital, including in the areas of industry advocacy, promotion of diversity and inclusion, addressing appraiser capacity constraints, and identifying opportunities for leadership roles in the valuation profession. This role may interact with individuals at various levels within and outside the organization including, but not limited to executive leaders, appraisers, technology/product managers, operations, and customers. What You Will Work On- Identify and monitor valuation-related issues, including but not limited to:
- Appraisal Bias and Discrimination, including analyzing the role technology can play in identifying potential concerns of bias
- Potential legislative, regulatory, and policy matters affecting valuation
- Assist in developing outreach strategies that support initiatives such as appraisal modernization, appraiser diversity, and valuation technology
- Collect, summarize, analyze, influence, and participate in ongoing corporate valuation-related outreach activities.
- Assist in establishing short- and long-term goals and strategies to improve existing and future valuation services.
- You have an in-depth understanding of appraisals and lending policies, and would engage with legal, compliance, and business teams to assist in drafting, interpreting, and applying changes to valuation policies
- You understand the need and impact of initiatives such as modernizing appraisal and improving racial diversity in the appraisal profession to address concerns of appraiser capacity and potential bias or discrimination
- You are comfortable and resourceful in seeking out information from various sources and providing comprehensive analysis and reporting of activities from multiple sources
- You have demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
