Project Designer

We are seeking a Project Designer to be based in our Reno, NV office. You will be working with professionals that focus primarily on mine waste management, mine water management, and mine closure projects. You will work collaboratively within a team of technical specialists to develop innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions for a diverse set of global projects and clients.

The successful applicant will be expected to be able to :

Provide technical and design support for engineering studies and earthworks construction.

Model 3D designs and layouts.

Perform volumetric calculations and quantity estimates.

Produce figures and drawings ranging from conceptual models and sketches to detailed design and construction drawings.

Required skills and qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication skills.

The ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

An enthusiastic attitude and problem-solving skills.

Good attention to detail.

Motivation to learn and ask questions.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse teams ranging from junior to senior level engineers and scientists.

Education and Experience:

3-8 years of work experience with Civil3D. Experience in mining and waste management preferred.

A diploma or degree from an accredited drafting program.
