As Remote Sr Software Engineer C#/.NET, you will be responsible for programing a component, feature and or feature set. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to design discussions.
As Remote Sr Software Engineer C#/.NET, you will be responsible for:- Providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
- Providing technical leadership to an agile team of 5-7
- Working with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision
- Translating requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards
- Working with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plans
- Driving increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
- Supporting process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
- Coaching, mentoring and leading the team
- Working cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables
- Driving world-class quality in the development and support of products
- Communicating effectively both within immediate team and also across SSG leadership team and with PLLs
- Ensuring team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results
- Engaging subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge
- Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
- Writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
- Understanding performance parameters and assess application performance
- Working on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen
- Have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering field
- Have strong CAD skills with a practical mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Have knowledge of programming languages C#/.NET
- Have basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical elements and a desire to learn and develop these
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate strong leadership ability
- Have ability to analyse problems from data, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions
- Have effective organizational and project management skills and the ability to work in a global-matrix environment
- Be able to provide, practical, hands-on technical guidance and support to your team
- Show the ability to interact with people and processes in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
- Availability to work remotely overlapping with Pacific Time.
