- Specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling, and Internet service providers
- Implements policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup
- Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories, and security.
- Trains users on software and equipment usage
- Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs
- Communicates standards for use, operations, and security of network, personal computers, and data
- Communicates with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems
- Negotiates contracts with and coordinates activities of hardware, software, telecommunications, support, and training vendors
- Installs and tests software upgrades
- Implement script and batch files to optimize the efficiency of systems
- Collects and analyzes network and memory utilization
- Develops and implements disaster recovery procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Citrix XenDesktop, Windows Terminal Services, Cisco router, Internet Protocol, RAID, SQL Server, IIS, and Firewall experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the enthusiasm to learn the inner workings of a large complex system
- Knowledge and experience configuring MS Exchange; MS Active Directory, MS Office Suite preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to effectively work in a dynamic environment
- Highly organized and results-driven with ability to take initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast paced changing environment
- Able to work independently (self-starter and self-motivated)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Remote 1 day per week
- Direct hire, candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer
