client is seeking an experienced writer and communications analyst to work as a key part of an Organizational Change Management (OCM) team supporting client as it implements a large-scale, complex, integrated business and technical change initiative. The primary responsibilities are supporting all communications and stakeholder engagement activities and developing outreach collateral aimed at engaging all internal and external stakeholders. This role will be a part of the OCM team and will report to the OCM lead.The Writer/Communications Analyst will be responsible for embedding OCM practices into client operations areas to support the desired business outcomes. This person will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. This individual will develop communication strategies and plans, and subsequently execute communication and other OCM tactics aimed at maximizing employees’ change readiness and adoption of those strategies. This person will support the development of communication templates and tools (e.g. style guides and branding documents), and communication content (e.g. PPT presentations, articles, feature stories, FAQs and fact sheets). In addition, this individual will be responsible for executing a variety of communications tactics using varying channels (multimedia, website, newsletters, social media, etc.) Although the individual in this role will focus on communications, he/she will be required to understand and have the ability to execute all other OCM practices. We are seeking an individual who is well-rounded in the OCM space and has the ability to help individual stakeholders understand, adjust to and adopt the new practice, item, process or tool that is being implemented. However, the primary task for this role is extensive and dynamic writing. This individual will also be fully involved in change champion and advisory group activities.

Position Responsibilities
  • Execute already-identified communications tactics that links adoption of change to successful business outcomes.
  • Provides communications support for projects and business process changes, ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are aware and know where and how to find applicable resources.
  • Conducts change impact assessment and communication need analysis for each project, including functions, audience, roles and skills, and timing, as assigned by the OCM Lead.
  • Work with subject matter experts, business lead, technical lead, leadership and staff to identify communication needs, as assigned by the OCM Lead.
  • Design, develop and deliver a variety of communication materials as needed, including leadership presentations, articles, newsletters, etc. for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop a method for measuring success of communications activities.
  • Participate in the OCM process, ensuring alignment of all communication collateral with overarching OCM structure, goals, objectives and processes.
  • Coordinate change champion and advisory group activities within the stakeholder community by involving trusted partners/stakeholders to create understanding and influence successful change internally and externally.
  • Maintain a library of communications, presentation, etc. within an integrated digital environment (e.g., SharePoint and OneDrive).

Position RequirementsRequired:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications (a degree in business, technology, or related field will be considered).
  • 5+ years of experience in a Writing and Communications role.
  • 5+ years presentation development experience, and the ability to communicate succinctly with different levels of stakeholders.
  • Must have a keen eye for design and writing.
  • Experience with change management methodologies, approaches and tools, and how to align communications to OCM methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills — essential for interacting with key stakeholders across the project, to manage, inform and influence successful project outcomes.
  • Strong organization, planning, problem-solving, decision-making skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple tasks with minimal direction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Complete fluency in speaking and writing in the English language.
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree or higher in the Communications field
  • 7+ years of experience in a Writing and Communications role
