Are you a leader in Supply Chain and materials management? Are you interested in joining a team in an environment that is fast paced, rewarding and truly values its team members? Timpte is looking for a Sr. Manager – Tactical Supply in our David City, NE manufacturing facility.
The Senior Manager of Tactical Supply will lead and be accountable for all activities related to the ordering and obtaining components for manufacturing and distribution demand focusing on component availability (right part, right place, right time, right quantity). This role will also be responsible for the material handling/receiving of all components at the manufacturing sites, the material replenishment system, the management, and oversight of materials in the raw material warehouse /supermarket at each manufacturing site and the inventory control system for the company.
Job Responsibilities
Leads the Tactical Supply Team and related functions of:
Material Control
Material Handling / Receiving
Inventory Control
Manage all aspects of the tactical supply chain for Timpte including material replenishment system, plan for every part (PFEP), inventory control, raw material warehouses, and in-bound material handling/receiving
Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategies and metrics for the Tactical Supply functions
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in business/supply chain or related field and have 7-10 years’ experience in tactical materials management, material control or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in material replenishment, strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
Knowledge of principles and methods of transportation of moving goods by air, rail, sea or road, including the relative costs and benefits for both domestic and international purchases.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Must have working knowledge and experience with MRP/ERP business software.
