Assistant Teacher and After Care Lead Teacher (Missoula)

Sussex School seeks a part-time (25 hour/week) Assistant Teacher and After Care Teacher.

The salary is $16, 651.25 This position qualifies for some benefits.

Job Summary:

Work collaboratively with the lead teachers to support the class.

Primary responsibilities include supporting classroom management and lesson support. Assistant teachers are also responsible for assisting the lead teacher(s) in lesson preparation.

Additional assistant teaching responsibilities may include leading parts of the curriculum, depending on experience and interest.

Position also includes leading after-school care (3:00–5:00 every day except Thursday from 2:00–5:00) by providing outside supervision, games, and structure for up to 10 students.

Skill and willingness to substitute for any K–8 lead and specialist teacher(s) as needed.

Provide support for Covid 19 prevention and protocols.

Prior experience working with elementary school children is highly valued.
