Job Description:

Operate lathes, mills, in a hands-on capacity to manufacture a variety of complex parts for assembly into high performance electric motors, gearboxes, and other rotating machinery systems. Qualifications:

High Level of aptitude related to manufacturing processes and machinery operation.

Experience operating CNC machinery or manually adjusted machinery of some sort is mandatory.

Experience running a metal lathe, milling machine, and a vertical or horizontal grinder is very desirable.

Ability to read and interpret machining and manufacturing drawings.

Ability to produce high precision machined parts in accordance with machine drawings to a high level of accuracy (+/- .0002”).

Ability to inspect machined parts with mechanical inspection tools with a high level of accuracy (+/- .0001”).

High attention to detail.

Able to deliver results in both supervised and unsupervised environments.

Experience using mechanical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, etc.) is desirable.

Responsibilities:

Machine high precision components in accordance with machining drawings in a timely manner.

Operate various pieces of machinery including.

Inspect machined components for accuracy using the proper inspection tools.

Maintain the various pieces of machinery, and keep them in good working condition.

Keep the manufacturing areas clean and safe.

Report any obscurities in machining drawings to your supervisor.

Deliver results when expected in accordance with project schedules.

Track your labor time.
