JOB SUMMARY:

Leads the companies accounts payable process ensuring prompt and accurate payment of all payables.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for accounts payable and vendor maintenance. Completes payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Maintains professional relationships and correspondence with vendors.

Resolves and enters supplier invoices in preparation for payment. Ensures supplier invoices agree with expected price, taxes payable, and gallons.

New Vendor request review and management.

Demonstrate continuous learning and expertise in the areas of Company’s accounts payable processes and procedures.

Continually seeks to improve the accounts payable process to increase efficiency and productivity.

May provide coaching and training to new and existing team members.

Monthly reconciliation of selected general ledger accounts.

Prepare quarterly IFTA and PTO reports.

Manage yearly vendor 1099 and 1099k documents.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 3 years of experience or bachelor’s degree in related field and equivalent work experience.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

High degree of planning, organization and problem-solving skills.

Able to work with minimum supervision.

Able to manage multiple and competing tasks and priorities.

Proficient with current technology - computers, Microsoft Office.

OTHER KEY SUCCESS ATTRIBUTES:

Knowledge of the Petroleum Industry.

Experience with accounts payable.

Experience with preparing reports for governmental and other agencies.

Knowledge of Petroleum accounting.

Effective communication skills with fellow employees, customers, and outside agencies.

Interest in continuous improvement of the accounting process.

Ability to work well in a team environment.
