Project Manager - High End Custom Residential Construction (Big Sky, MT)

Blue Ribbon Builders is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team of Premier Lifestyle Crafters. The Project Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating and administering all aspects of the assigned projects from the sales, estimating and bidding processes through to project completion. The role will also include assisting in business development by attending community events and supporting communications and presentations to customers as well as other business development activities.

The perfect candidate will have the following:

Job Qualifications:

Education: Four-year construction related degree, such as, construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field preferred.

Professional Certification: LEED Accredited Professional status preferred

Experience: Five+ years in the construction field or 2+ years as Project Manager required. Project manager’s experience must include one project in excess of $2 million as the full-time project manager.

Experience: Cost estimating experience including at least one project in excess of $2 million preferred.

References: Project Manager’s owner references from previous projects preferred.

Equivalent combination of technical training, education, and/or related experience will be considered.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

o Office Skills: Typing, professional business correspondence, knowledge of filing system, and phone skills.

o Computer Skills: Proficient experience with the following or similar software; Sage Construction and Real Estate 300 (Sage Timberline), Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Bluebeam etc.

o Sales Skills: Contract negotiation, business development, lead generation, client selection management, sales and customer relations.

o Sr. Construction Skills: Lead Journeyman level carpenter, deep understanding of all phases and trades involved in high end residential construction.

o Project Management Skills: Contract document administration, Critical path scheduling using Microsoft Project, resource allocation and scheduling, Vendor Sourcing and Negotiation, Job Cost management.

o Estimating Skills: Custom residential estimating using Timberline Estimating, writing scopes of work and specifications. Reading Blueprints, Bid Packages, and RFP’s, performing takeoffs and Value Engineering.
