We are seeking an innovative

Fire Alarm Designer with five or more years of experience in the fire alarm industry who wants to work and grow as a team player within our Fire Protection department. You will work with contractors, owners, and architects across the country on a variety of projects (Industrial, Military, Residential, and Commercial) and scopes (Bid Drawings to Full Shop Drawings). The successful candidate will understand fire alarm systems, NFPA 72 standards, construction types and coordinate with other disciplines.

Coffman supports certification through NICET and provides continuing education via national trade associations (NFSA and AFSA). The Bozeman Fire Protection department has twolicensed Fire Protection Engineers and eleven EIT/Designers to provide training and support.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship. 

No paid interview travel or relocation expenses are offered for this position.

Qualifications

Requirements Include:

  • Five-years fire alarm industry experience (NICET III is a plus)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with computers
  • Fast learner and motivated

Non-required Supplemental Experience:

  • Degree in computer-aided design a plus
  • Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience in Revit MEP
  • Experience producing fire alarm drawings and calculations
