Job title: Runner

Location: Big Sky, MT

Position Type: Full-Time; Seasonal

First impressions are important.

Guests who are vacationing, especially right now, are anxious about traveling and booking unknown residences that are hundreds, sometimes thousands, of miles away. Runners will perform pre-arrival checks for residences who have guests checking in. Pre-arrival checks will include checking amenities and supplies, and surveying quality control for cleaning and other contracted vendors. Runners will also perform departure checks and their reports will be used to determine the return of guests’ deposits. Runners will also escalate any priority maintenance or residence issues to management to aid in repair or resolution.

The hourly compensation is $16 - $18, PLUS an end-of-the-season BONUS.

The available shifts for this position are: 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. MST.

Communication.

Job Responsibilities

Confirm that special request items on reservation notes are accounted for at property for guests’ arrival.

Responsible for inventory of supplies and notifying Management if items need to be restocked and restocking those items.

Using the provided pre-arrival checklist for each residence ensure that all areas have been cleaned and prepared to the required standard.

Participate in minimal snow removal around managed properties as needed (i.e. quick shoveling around entrance or hot tub walkways)

Check the working order of technological items- TV’s, Sonos sound systems, WIFI

Check heating systems to ensure they are properly functioning (thermostat temps, floor vents blowing hot air)

Check other home items like hot water, gas stove, gas fireplace, etc.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The Team Member frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands/ fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position will require walking for periods of time throughout the day on uneven surfaces or across company property and into homes. The Team Member needs to be frequently moving about inside and outside the homes and must be able to walk, move, and traverse for 85% of the day. This individual works in outdoor weather conditions up to 85% of the day. The Team Member may have to reach above shoulder height or below the waist or lift as required to file or store materials throughout the day. The Team Member must be able to lift 50 lbs. and use proper lifting techniques. Lift items include but are not limited to cleaning supplies, linens, boxes, firewood, etc.

Stand or sit stationary position: must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 15% of the workday

Walk, move, traverse: must be able to be active up to 85% of the workday. This person in this position needs to be frequently moving about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, cleaning supplies and equipment, etc. as well as the interior of the home in the Two Pines’ portfolio and across company property

Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place and Detect: Position constantly operates a phone to text and call other team members and office. Also, this person will constantly use hands to inspect, complete and maintain inventory, check products in and out, etc.

Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance Ascend/Descend: Traverse frequently throughout the homes and properties and climb stairs, ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights and ceiling fans on occasion

Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Position self (to), move constantly, positions self to move inside and outside homes and across company property on uneven surfaces, including but not limited to steep hills, driveways, etc.

Talk/hear communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, exchange information: The person in this position frequently communicates with the staff, vendors, housekeepers, inspectors, guests, and homeowners. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

See, detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, access: This individual must be able to detect all areas of cleanliness and recognize when items are worn and/or a safety issue or concern. Must be able to make judgements to ensure the proper upkeep of homes and to ensure guest and homeowner satisfaction.

Taste/smell detect, distinguish, determine: Occasionally, this individual must be able to distinguish odor that may indicate a hazard and/or an unclean environment.

Carry weight, lift move, transport, position, put, install, remove: Frequently, this individual moves items such as linens and/or home goods weighing up to 50 lbs. across parking lots and inside the interior of homes.

Exposure to the outdoors: This individual constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a Full-Time temporary position. Hours are set for each week. Weekends and holidays will generally be busy with guest arrivals and departures and are considered working days. Position will offer two (2) consecutive days off per week where possible, knowing that guests can arrival at unpredictable times. Position will include 1 (1) night a week with an on-call duty. Employee is required to be in Big Sky on this evening, within cell-phone service, and in a position ready to drive and perform after-hours work duties.
