We are currently seeking an experienced leader to take on an assistant manager position at our dry cleaning/laundry business in Belgrade, MT. Experience in dry cleaning/laundry is not required but leadership experience is required. We will train the right person! Hours will average about 30/week depending on needs of business.

The assistant manager will play a key role in store success by working closely with the store manager in all aspects of day-to-day business and operations.

Job Responsibilities

Achieves profit contribution and store success by assisting store manager in managing staff and establishing and accomplishing business objectives.

Builds company image by collaborating with customers, community organizations, and employees; and enforces ethical business practices.

Increases management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff as necessary; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; cultivating a climate for offering information and opinions and providing educational opportunities.

Develops strategic plans by identifying technical and/or financial opportunities, presenting analysis, and recommending ideas, solutions and objectives.

Creates and encourages a work environment based on respect and trust with staff; able to deliver constructive feedback when necessary; delivers praise when deserved and maintains an “open-door” policy where staff is encouraged to discuss any issues, concerns or ideas without fear of reprisal.

Coordinates overall efforts of the organization by keeping an open line of communication with the store manager, the company, employees and other store locations; organizes, communicates and executes customer deliveries/orders as necessary; constant communication and follow-up to ensure organizational objectives are complete.

Maintains an impressive attendance record.

Assists store manager with managing employee availability, time-off requests and sick calls to ensure store is staffed at all times; Ensures store is fully stocked with appropriate supplies by keeping inventory, having a strong knowledge of store needs and communicating supply needs with store manager for their list submissions.

Fully knowledgeable about the dry cleaning, stain-removal, laundry and pressing processes and able to perform all required tasks at the dry cleaning location.

Maintains quality customer service by establishing and enforcing organization standards; handles customer feedback including complaints according to company standards; maintains professional demeanor and behavior at all times.

Maintains store cleanliness and appearance; ensures appearance of staff is professional and clean.

Ensures all customer orders meet quality standards with an exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to deliver feedback constructively and respectfully as well as receive constructive feedback. Willingness to learn, grow and ask questions to sharpen operational and leadership skills.

Able to work the required 35-40 hours per week.
