ServiceNow Systems Adminstrator

Remote Opportunity (preferred locations - San Antonio, TX and St. Louis, MO)

Our client ASM Research is currently seeking ServiceNow Systems Administrator. This role will supports the design and management of ServiceNow systems over the entire lifecycle from inception to phase-out. Supports internal IT process enhancement, creating scripts to automate internal workflows. Supports routine systems operations and maintenance of infrastructure services. Performs routine tests and documents system issues.

The ServiceNow Systems Administrator will be responsible for configuring, administering, and developing the ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM) and IT Business Management (ITBM) tool. This role will work with the Client teams and Business partners to develop technical solutions that satisfy the business needs and is responsible for supporting, configuring, scripting, and administrating the ServiceNow platform.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand how ServiceNow can enable the client to become more efficient and configure the platform to achieve measurable benefits.
  • General support, administration and maintenance of ServiceNow platform and associated applications.
  • Configure and maintain SLA, catalog items and their associated workflows.
  • Configure, maintain and support CMDB, Auto Discovery of Configuration Items (CI).
  • Configure, maintain, and support Event Management functions.
  • Good understanding of JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting language.
  • Working closely with IT and business partners to configure and improve core platform capabilities in accordance with ITIL best practices.
  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
  • Develop systems integrations and process automation.
  • Coordinate application and platform upgrades.
  • Assist in building and maintaining internal technical documentation, manuals, policies, and processes.
  • Promotes efficiency of routine operations by increasing standardization and creating automation and scripting of tasks.
  • Supports and takes direction from senior technical staff to develop deployment specifications and configurations.
  • Conducts technical evaluation, design and readiness reviews, and quality control.
  • Provides analytical support in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of robust, inter-linked systems.
  • Supports system design, analyses, interface verification, testing, or mission operations under direction of more experienced engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, other relevant field, orequivalent relevant experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred0-2 years of experience as a ServiceNow system administrator.Must have ServiceNow Certified Admin certification.Experience in IT service management, ITIL certification preferred.Strong experience in requirements gathering.Customer service orientation and strong team player.Demonstrated ability with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB and knowledge management applications.Experience using JavaScript, XML, and HTML.
