Description:This is a Process Engineer in the Stamping Department. This person may manage a group of skill trades if they have experience in maintenance.80% of the time will be process engineering projects. They will need to work any shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd).Experience working in a manufacturing environment or automotive assembly is preferred.Proposes and evaluates manufacturing process and equipment for assigned areas of plantDirects the development and/or improvements of manufacturing processes and equipmentEvaluates expenditures for processes and/or equipment Provides technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations Regular contact with others outside the work group Works closely with production and maintenance personnel and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projectsAnalyze tooling and equipment and select proper steps for solution Meet plant goals and standards in safety, quality, delivery and cost Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment in supporting SPQRC initiativesMust support plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goalsMust be willing to work any assigned shift, work daily, weekend, and holiday overtime as requiredSupports/implements the QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processesStrong computer skills. Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint required, background with automation and controls preferred.Ability to manage multiple projects and to manage floor operations.
