Randstad Technologies is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering for an exciting opportunity hyrbid opportunity with one of our Kansas City clients. The Manager will code and manage a team - best of both worlds (hands on coding and developing a team)! This position will be a flex combination of both in the office and at home. Requirements:- High School Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science OR a 2-year technical degree
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing software solutions
- Experience in our primary technologies: C#, Angular, SQL, NoSQL
- Hands on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Proven track record of mentoring developers
- Advanced understanding on architectural design principles
- Ability to think creatively, critically, and analytically in a variety of technical scenarios
- deep organizational and time management skills
- Ability to stay flexible and easily adapt to change
- Solid communication skills, both verbally and written
- Lead a talented team of Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers as they deliver custom software solutions using modern languages and cloud technologies.
- Oversee daily development tasks, remove roadblocks, and drive overall team performance.
- Manage project roadmaps and contribute to the project planning process.
- Partner with Director of Software Engineering to assess process deficiencies and implement, create, or update policies and procedures.
- Assist the Director of Software Engineering to identify, onboard, train and mentor new Software Engineers.
- Provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports
- Serve as an escalation point within the information technology team
- Conduct code reviews that foster quality software and constructive learning experiences.
- Consistently look for ways to innovate and champion technology initiatives within the team and organization.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with other team members and leaders.
- Contribute to team growth by participating in interviews and recruiting efforts.
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
