DescriptionPosition Summary:The Business Analyst works closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Systems Analysts, Developers, Application Support and Subject Matter Experts to maximize the value of applications and processes used to support the business. In this role, the Business Analyst will work closely with the accounting & finance team to elicit and document functional requirements, as well as write validation plans associated with enhancements and defect fixes. They will develop and maintain business process documentation as enhancements and improvements are implemented. The Business Analyst will act as a liaison between the business and IT, partnering with both to ensure requirements are well defined and understood.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork closely with business stakeholders within accounting and finance to review and prioritize product enhancement requests and defect resolution items
Collaborate with business users and other members of IT to formulate and document conceptual user requirement into functional requirements in a clear manner
Conduct interviews to gather user requirements with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that specifications are correctly interpreted
Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
Collaborate with Systems Analysts and Developers to define and document solution design to meet functional requirements
Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and other stakeholders
Work closely with Training Team to develop and implement material for end users of the FinancialForce application
Maintain high level process documentation for business users and training team
Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, enforcing and redefining as necessary
Play an active role in software testing, working closely with QA, users and developers
Provide business system consultation and support to users in accounting and finance
Position RequirementsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
At least two (2) years work experience in an IT Business Analyst or similar role, to include:
Experience working with Salesforce CRM and FinancialForce SCM, PSA and FFA
Demonstrated understanding of GAAP, income statements, balance sheets and other accounting concepts
Other Position Requirements:Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated presentation and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organization
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:Five (5) or more years work experience in an IT Business Analyst role
Two (2) or more years experience working with Salesforce CRM and FinancialForce SCM, PSA and FFA
Two (2) or more years experience in the IT Solutions or Professional Services Industry
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
Experience as a Salesforce administrator
Consulting experience
