So, we ask, where will your journey take you?JOB SUMMARYThe Director, Commercial Performance is an advisor and expert in all aspects of performance for Marriott's Luxury and Select brands (https://www.marriott.com/marriott-brands.mi) . This role leads commercial analysis related to product, financial and operational performance of these brands and crafts strategies/initiatives to drive improvement. A key responsibility of this role will be delivering high-quality strategic perspectives on the competitive landscape and our brands’ positioning. The primary business partner is the Luxury and Select Brand Teams. Other related partners are Revenue Management, Finance, Global Quality, CX.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and Experience4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major, MBA a plus.

4+ years of experience in Banking/Finance, Strategy Consulting, Market Research, or similar analytical role

Demonstrated problem solving and strategy expertise (e.g., structuring and analyzing ambiguous problems, driving implications from complex data

Demonstrated command of data and insights from a variety of internal and external sources to shape narratives about customer and brand opportunities

Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams, using data and insights to influence decision-making

Sensitivity to global communication needs

Develop insights on brand positioning, particularly for Marriott International’s Luxury and Select brands

Deliver high-quality strategic perspectives on competitor brands

Drive commercial and operational insights & strategy developmentWork alongside Revenue Management to build and manage a comprehensive dashboard for each brand

Collaborate with Global Design to develop and manage renovation dashboards

Work alongside Global Operations to gauge performance in food and beverage, guest experience and other areas

Develop and leverage insights to craft pragmatic strategies to drive improvements

Work with global brand leaders to develop product and programming dashboards and KPIs to evaluate brand initiatives effectiveness

Work with SVP Luxury Brands to develop metrics to drive luxury strategy work

Deliver executive communicationEngage frequently with executive stakeholders across Brand, Revenue Management, Global Operations, Design, etc.

Present analyses, research, and insights in key forums across the business

Influence decision-making by bringing data, analyses and insights to bear on key business challenges and opportunities
