Assists with the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents

Assists with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components

Coordinates the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination

Uses understanding of engineering processes to collaborate with Program Management and Engineering functions to support the Customer needs

Uses an enthusiastic, hands-on approach to work

Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, functional requirements and regulatory requirements

Coordinates with engineering functions to define requirements related to safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialty engineering groups.

Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements :This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is requiredBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

5+ years of engineering experience

3+ years of experience using all of the following Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience using DOORS for requirements management

Experience with Systems Engineering principles

Typical Education/Experience :Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
