Job Title: Manager, NOCC Location: US-MS-Ridgeland

Overview: JOB SUMMARY: At C Spire, we are customer inspired. Every C Spire team member is charged with delivering a world class experience to every customer. Manager, Network Operations Center is responsible for managing the Excellence in 24X7 operations team that monitors, resolves and maintains network infrastructure for 5X9's availability. Maintains relationships with people across different functional areas within the organization. Fosters a positive team environment that enables employees to maximize performance. Develops processes and procedures to implement data driven functional strategies. Focus on all financial, strategic, efficiency, automation, outage mitigation, MTTR, and tactical operational facets of the business that deal with leading and driving the desired results from a Next Generation Network Operation Center.

  • Manage a team of Network and Service Assurance techs who are focused on positive customer experience by reducing downtime. Be a situational leader and be Obsessed with high quality and perfection and ability to succeed at maintaining 5X9's availability.
  • Act as Bridge Manager during incident management of network outages by assisting with the troubleshooting and team coordination to reduce overall downtime.
  • Ontime communications to management of any network events.
  • Formulate and implement a training agenda for technicians and maintain those records.
  • Cultivate a culture for operational excellence and relentlessly focus on the future of employee growth.
  • Focus on addressing current operational challenges and ensuring all policies and processes are standardized, documented, measured, and enforced to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Continual improvement is required, with an ultimate goal of automation.
  • Work closely with your employees and tailor your approached based on team member's needs. Set expectations and take small steps toward building a more enthusiastic and productive team.
  • Measure and report on success metrics of team and generate and review reports that provide business value to organization.
  • Service focused with target outcomes aligned with business objectives and goals. Be an active part of the Net Promoter System.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of industry related work experience required 2+ years NOC Management experience 3+ years of in-depth troubleshooting experience of complex network environments Mix of Project Management, Analytics, Budgeting experience Meticulous attention to detail PREFERRED 5+ years work experience in the telecom industry. Work experience in Fiber Optic Networks, T1/T3 circuits, SONET, DWDM, MPLS, GPON, IP Services, 3G/4G Wireless technologies Exposure to Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Fujitsu, Adtran platforms Familiarity with Network Monitoring tools

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to work evenings and weekends in an on call/emergency environment. Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer. Some travel may be required. Must be able to handle and move 50 lbs. or more. Be available via phone 24X7 for emergencies and on call as directed.
