Instructional Designer / Technical Trainer

Sample Tasks
  • Use the ADDIE model to analyze needs, design, develop, implement, evaluate courses, including all education materials, exercises and scripts/lesson plans.
  • Use various software to create online learning modules, instructional aids and online reference guides and materials
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and revise training content.
  • Collaborate with team to analyze and recommend learning solutions that achieve desired outcomes while supporting a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Maintain website and/or intranet site with must current training documentation and online reference guides and materials.
  • Collaborate to establish training timelines and communicate updates and changes to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, walk-throughs and deliver distance learning, classroom, customized in-house and one on one training sessions.
  • Create evaluation metrics to measure learning, leveraging industry standard evaluation models.
  • Prepare and administer training assessments. Evaluate the effectiveness of training delivered.
  • Establish and maintain successful client relationships. Work closely with system integrator / vendor on training related support.
  • Manage training schedules and rosters for training programs
  • Create and maintain learning events and activities
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a full criminal background check including fingerprints.
  • Ability to work remote or onsite as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree with four years relevant experience.
  • Two (2) years’ experience developing and delivering training for enterprise-wide programs
  • Two (2) years’ experience with web-based/e-learning/online communication tools, website design and maintenance
  • One (1) year of experience using remote team collaboration tools such as: Microsoft Teams, Skype, SharePoint, etc.
  • Five (5) years’ experience creating materials in a project environment for custom developed applications.
Desired Skills
  • Instructional design experience using the ADDIE model.
  • Experience writing training materials within acceptable rules of style and format.
  • Experience creating training and communication materials using adult learning principles.
  • Self-starter. Able to plan and organize work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience researching and analyzing current training methods and initiate creative recommendations.
  • Experience communicating to groups clearly and concisely and experience communicating with a diverse audience.
  • Experience with multiple learning technologies and virtual training tools.
  • Experience creating original visuals and basic graphic design work.
  • Evidence of project management capabilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively and identifying solutions to address multi-stakeholder perspectives.
