Role: Systems Engineer

Location: St. Paul, MN - open to remote

Length: One year C2H

Compensation: $80,000-$120,000K range depending on experience, qualifications, certifications, etc.

Job Description - Systems Engineer

Position Summary:

The Client Infrastructure Team is responsible for the direction, engineering, maintenance, enhancement, availability, and automation of existing infrastructure technologies and supporting processes. Focus is on the execution and maintenance of our environments supporting both internal and external facing application solutions, ensuring technologies are available and performing to meet business needs.

The Client infrastructure teams supports and consumes a variety of technologies, related to supporting End User Technology, including Dell Laptops, Windows 10/11, MacBook and Mac OSx, iOS, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, JAMF, Microsoft InTune, Group Policy, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, VMWare VSphere, print, AWS IaaS, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure AD.

The ideal candidate will have experience with several of these technologies with strong preference given for experience in MS Azure IaaS, automation, desktop virtualization, and experience implementing MS Modern Device Management technologies and processes.

Engineer Client Infrastructure technology:

Design, create, and deploy solutions for our client's applications running on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) using industry best practices
Implement and manage server and infrastructure applications through the use of IaC.
Lead or execute the engineering and implementation of system upgrades, patches or enhancements.
Lead or perform technical proofs-of-concept, pilots and validations.
Perform research, develop requirements, and create cost-benefit-analysis justifications and recommendations.
Plan future state for new or enhanced technologies

Support Client Infrastructure technology:

Respond to and resolve escalated incidents and problems.
Ensure availability, performance and capacity meet service level objectives.
On a rotational basis, provide off-hour support for critical issues.
Develop, automate, and continually improve processes.

Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge of Windows client operating systems and Microsoft enterprise client management ecosystem (SCCM, Group Policy, InTune, etc.). Working knowledge of other infrastructure components that make up a working interconnected network, for example but not limits to Networks, Firewalls, servers, storage.
Solid analytical skills, creative problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills, demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities, and results oriented to deliver in a fast-paced service environment.

The focus of these positions will be on the support of traditional infrastructure and cloud technologies the team is responsible for.
