Fabrication Trainer (Anoka, MN)

Description

Support the development of the hourly fabrication workforce and implementation of fabrication training programs focused on operations, logistics, quality and safety functions of the site. Support and drive training processes, responsible for the collection and storage of training documents and accountable for driving testing integrity throughout the fabrication training processes. Shift time split between 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. Temp to hire or possible direct hire DOE.Job Responsibilities

Perform instructional classroom and practical hands-on training in all safety procedures, quality assurance, print reading, methods of fabrication, and nVent specific processes. Assist in updating training curriculum, records, and procedures on an ongoing basis to address evolving needs, including new equipment and processes. Participate in internal audits, to assure that employees are following fabrication Standard work appropriately. Enforce and help all levels of employees to recognize quality as a key element of customer satisfaction and meeting nVent business goals. Provide training-related reports to management as required. Partner with functional leaders to design and coordinate learning programs.

2 year degree preferred with minimum 3 years fabrication experience. Past leadership experience in a manufacturing environment and training preferred. Experience within all fabrication processes (grinding, bending/forming, welding) preferred. Must have ability to flex schedule. Demonstrated facilitation, presentation and communication skills. Ability to train employees with little to no working knowledge of fabrication procedures. Knowledge of general safety policies and practices.
