NEFI Business and Investment Operations is seeking a qualified Operations and Business associate to aide in business planning and support programs and activities across NEFI ensuring alignment with business strategy to meet its goals.The ideal candidate must be comfortable in a high performance, fast paced, high-pressure, matrixed environmentand should have a strong understanding of the asset management business and operational processes. Strong analytical skills and the ability to support the formulation, development and execution of strategic and tactical initiatives will be critical to success. Excellent interpersonal skills and heavy collaboration experience. Past experience in project management or consulting a plus.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Support Sr. Operations and Business Manager in managing NEFI’s relationships with IT, Operations, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Risk Management, to strengthen controls and processes

Execute critical change initiatives and projects that enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business management practices within the assigned area by identifying and planning the execution of best practices

Analyze and assess area data and metrics to ensure that it supports strategic decision making and evidences progress against strategic objectives

Develop and implement project plans, prepare reports, monitor performance, and plan resource (both physical and human) utilization

Develop periodic and ad hoc reports, presentation materials and communications for use in various internal forums and committees

Oversee procedures to ensure compliance and risk policies are properly implemented and current

Drive execution of special projects that sit out of day-to-day business operations

QUALIFICATIONS:Education/ExperienceMBA preferred, but not required

At least 7 years of experience in areas such as operations, financial and strategic planning/implementation and project management, ideally in the investment management industry7

Knowledge/SkillsOutstanding communication, client-facing and business management skills,and an ability to articulate complex business issues to investment personnel and senior management

Demonstrated ability to: Deliver results in a fast-paced environment; Solve problems and think strategically; Be proactive; anticipating needs and staying out ahead of them; Collaborate, plan and organize with and through people to gather information from across the organization

Outstanding ability to apply analytical and creative approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), and work well in cross-functional teams

Design and execute critical change initiatives and projects that enhance efficiency and effectivenessStrong interpersonal and influencing skills, maturity and judgment – ability to navigate independently up and down the organization and achieve goals without direct control over resources

Effective ability to prioritize and manage several items independently and simultaneously in a timely and organized manner, and adapt to changing priorities and timelines , with keen attention to detail and confidentiality

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) required

Willingness and ability to travel as needed (10-25%)
